I write praying that you all are in the best of health and that Allah keeps on blessing you.

 

As you will be aware there are now only 2 weeks left for the Charity Challenge 2009.  With the Flora Marathon Walk soon starting research has shown that collections, again, are not falling due to the economic climate but are, infact, increasing as long as one has increased the amount of people that are being asked.

 

So as a reminder:

 

1) Your prayers are requested as without them and Allah's mercy nothing we do becomes fruitful.  Hence, before and even during the event we all should be praying hard, with sincerity that Allah allows us to get to the finish line and that the event is successful in all manners.

 

2) Your collections are important for all those whom desperately need your help.  Hence get new collections and promises.  If you have JustGiving ensure you have sent it to everyone you know as a personal email not as a bulk one.  Remember this can and should be extended to everyone, including international contacts.  Those in employment you should contact your company for support.

 

You should be aiming to double the amount of people who are sponsoring you - compared to last year!!

 

3) This week National, Regional and Local Press Releases will be issued, inshallah.  Hence utilise these to further improve, add and finalise collections.  There is also a pdf available on the website for your convenience:

 

 

3) Participation is imperative for numerous reasons.  This event is our pride and joy in terms of Charity Activities hence please maximising participation by encouragement and pursual.  Please make sure and pray that everyone knows and have contributed in some way - be it financially or by participation.

 

4) Miscellaneous:

 

a) Weather: Check and Monitor.

 

b) Clothing: Get these ready.

 

c) Exercise: This is something I am hoping you have already mastered and well experience in by now.
