National Ijtema 2010

In the name of Allah Most Gracious, Most Merciful

My dear Atfal and Khuddam brothers,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

This year’s Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya National Ijtema 2010 will, insha’Allah, be held on:

Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September 2010

This is two weeks after the end of Ramadhan. The programme is still being prepared and will be forwarded to you at a later date.

We would like to invite all Atfal and Khuddam to attend the Ijtema, and would ask you to arrange for taking the days off from work or any other commitments as early as possible, in order to allow you to benefit from the event on all three days.

The Holy Prophet (saw) is reported to have said: “When a group of people assemble for the remembrance of Allah, the angels surround them (with their wings), (Allah's) mercy envelops them, sakinah (or tranquility) descends upon them and Allah makes a mention of them before those who are near Him.'' [Muslim]

The Ijtema Syllabus was made available at the beginning of the year and may be found on the Ta’leem and Atfal sections of the Khuddam website.

The importance of attending the Ijtema or any other programme, which have been approved by Khalifatul Masih for the Tarbiyyat of the members of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, cannot be over-emphasised.  By attending these events, we are obeying the call of the Divinely appointed Khalifa, and therefore we are treading the path of gaining physical and spiritual nearness to him. The founder of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II, Hadhrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra), on one occasion enjoined us in the following words:

“I would like to draw the attention of those Khuddam who are NOT attending this Ijtema, and want to express my sadness and surprise. I would like to tell them that the purpose of Khuddamul Ahmadiyya is to develop this realisation, that they are the Servants (Khuddam) of Ahmadiyyat. A servant is one who stays close to his master. The servant, who does not stay with his master (Khilafat), in terms of time or duties, cannot be called a servant (Khadim).”  (Translation of Address at Annual Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Ijtema, 6th February 1941, Mashl-e-Rah (Urdu), page 244, Second Edition)

The purposes of the Ijtema’at are manifold, some of which include:

• It is a time for the remembrance of Allah and prayers.

• A great opportunity to see and hear the blessed words of Khalifatul Masih.

• Brings together the members of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya to further spiritual and moral development.

• Creates a sense of harmony and brotherhood between Khuddam and Atfal.

• Improves individual skills and knowledge and encourages good team work, through healthy competition.

Please contact your local or Regional Qaid for more details and make any preparations as early as possible.

Jazakallah.

Wassalam,

Mirza Nasir Inam Ahmad
