On Sunday 27th November nine Khuddam from Greenford and Southall Qiadats trekked into well-to-do Hampstead alongside members of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for a day of festive charity giving.

The day packed with festive events along Hampstead High Street attracted more than 10,000 people over the course of the weekend so it was a fantastic opportunity for MKA Middlesex to partner up with GOSH in order to engage the generous British public and make a real difference to the lives of many people.

By 1pm the Khuddam were out on the High Street, buckets in hand, high-vis jackets on back and smiles on face interacting and approaching all alike. The afternoon might have been cold, the day long, but the spirits were sky high and the mood was joyous and uplifting. The Khuddam enjoyed themselves, not only in the action of collecting money with their brothers, but also in the appreciation that every minute they were spending out on the streets equalled greater support for the most needy in the very society they live in.

Despite being fully focused on the job at hand and a spirit of healthy competition motivating them to collect more than their brothers, when the time came for Salaat everything was dropped and the Khuddam found a patch of space outside and observed their Zuhr and Asr prayers in congregation on the floor.

The day concluded at 5pm with the organisers from GOSH showing their heart felt appreciation for the dedication and self sacrifice our Khuddam showed.

May Allah reward all nine Khuddam who sacrificed to gain the pleasure of Allah.
