Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Research Association
by Tauseef Khan (Chairman MKA-RA)
MKA Research Association was set up, in part, to facilitate your research careers; so we want to organise activities which support and run along with your research interests, with minimal time commitments. Based on your expertise, we will occasionally be making specific requests to you to help us out in our activities.
It goes without saying that membership of the MKA Research Association is a source of great blessing for the young members. Many members are at the very early stages of their careers and their involvement in the MKA-RA at its formative stages will prepare them well for the future, where one day they will be running their own labs, research teams and departments. Insha'Allah.
Under Huzur (atba)'s directive, the membership of MKA Research Association is compulsory for all Khuddam science students (above A-levels). Additionally, Khuddam students from other fields (e.g. social sciences, economics) are strongly encouraged to join if they have interest in research.

The aims of MKA-RA are four-fold:
1. To encourage and guide Khuddam who are interested in research careers in the research. In particular this will mean:
a. identifying top fields in each research field and directing students towards them
b. answering specific requests for career guidance sent in by Khuddam and providing mentorship
c. providing an overview of our research and career paths in discussion forums, career seminars and Annual Conferences
d. having a web presence in the form of profiles and useful articles for budding researchers
2. To form a network of existing Khuddam researchers. In particular this will mean:
a. meeting up regularly in group meetings and telling each other about our research and reviewing interesting papers. This can be via this email group and also meetings
b. advertising to each other relevant job opportunities and funding resources
c. initiate and collaborate on projects where possible
3. To encourage an in depth study of the Holy Qur'an in order to inform upon our research. In particular this will mean:
a. identifying, discussing and researching interesting chapters, verses and ideas in the Holy Qur'an which seem to have relevance to the research
b. writing articles/reports on any interesting findings
4. To publish our findings and any achievements of our members in Jama'at literature and external media
"Therefore, I advise the youth: Immerse yourself in studies to the exclusion of everything else. Advance so much in every field of education that your minimum target is a Nobel Prize. That requires hard work over a long period. When nations want to develop and progress they make plans on a long-term basis." (Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V [atba])
The Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Research Association (MKA-RA) has been established under Amoor-e-Tuluba Department, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK, and is up and running by grace of Allah.
