Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih II ra says:
"A believer is constantly occupied in work even upto the time of his death as if, for a believer, the time to stop working is the time of his death. You have done well to establish your centre, may God turn the attention of Ansarullah to this task also so that they may desist from their naïve reasoning that since there are so many prophecies of the jama’at’s return to Qadian that we cannot be in any doubt that we shall return there and hence we should plan to establish the centre there rather than here (Rabwah). They need to keep in mind the fact that whatever and however many prophecies we do have regarding our return to Qadian , they are still fewer than the prophecies that were given regarding Mecca and we know that these latter prophecies were not fulfilled in the literal sense. Thus we too do not know what will happen to us in the future. There were many prophecies concerning Mecca. In fact the Holy Prophetsa was sent to fulfil these very prophecies - however, even after Islam’s triumphal return to Mecca, the Holy Prophetsa remained resident in Medina – he did not return to live in Mecca. Qadian is not greater than Mecca. Those people who talk like this – and despite the fact that we all are hopeful for our return to Qadian, and a believer should always remain hopeful of our return to Qadian and that Qadian will be our centre – in spite of all this, such people should remember that in practice our centre can only ever be at the place that God Almighty chooses for us. Thus, keeping these points ever before us we should widen the expanse of our works and we should continue completing our work, whilst ignoring our return to Qadian
We are servants of God Almighty and we will work wherever He wants us to. In fact, I would say that even if we were to receive a telegram inviting us to go and live in Qadian – even in such a case you should continue to work until evening so that it should become evident that our purpose is to work. Our purpose is neither Qadian nor Rabwah. We will go there if and only if God Almighty takes us not otherwise. We are servants of God Almighty not of any location. If we do love any place then it is purely due to the reason that God Almighty has bestowed honour upon it. Thus, a believer should not be lazy in his work. Further, youth is that stage of life in which work is accomplished and so the youth should remain ever vigilant in their work."
