Huzur, on meeting with a young Englishman, newly converted to Islam, gave the following counsel:
"There is no doubt that many young Ahmadis are dedicating their lives for the service of the faith. Of these, some are put to work here and others, for the sake of conveying the message of Islam to non-muslims, are sent abroad. However, before Ahmadiyyat, there was no organised scheme for providing opportunities to dedicate one’s whole life for service to the faith. We may take Hazrat Moinnuddin Chishtirh as an example.
He came to India at a time when there were no other muslims here. He started conveying the message of Islam in India, and eventually, he was successful in establishing a muslim community. Obviously, this was his own personal work, which he was able to accomplish as a result of his firm resolve and courage. From this, it is clear that ‘dedication of life’ is not purely for the community but it is actually a means by which God Almighty puts into effect whatever He wishes to accomplish through the instrumentality of His servants. Thus, it is not essential that one who wishes to dedicate his life for service must dedicate it for the Jama’at he can even dedicate himself for the completion of a specific task."
