The National Atfal Tarbiyyati Class for 12-15 year olds was held on the 25 & 26 February 2006 at Baitul Futuh. The registered attendance was as follows:

The event focused on teaching Atfal about five different topics:

• The Holy Qur’an

• Hadith

• Salaat

• History of Islam

• Jamaat Ahmadiyya

The Atfal were split in to eight classes where each teacher would go through the handouts provided. The handouts were designed in such a manner that the Atfal would have to produce work within the class.

This year’s class saw the introduction of Tarbiyyati workshops. These workshops were designed to enable Atfal to discuss in groups some of the contemporary issues of today. The workshop topics were discussed were ‘Smoking & Drugs’ and ‘Jihad & Terrorism’. This feature was well received by the Atfal as an addition to the programme.

In addition to these programmes a brief Martial Arts class was held for all participants.

The prayers for the Khilafat Centenary were distributed amongst the Atfal as were Certificates of Attendance for each Tifl.
