Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya UK hosted a Musha'irah on Saturday June 14th. This Musha'irah was part of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya’s programme of Khilafat Centenary celebrations and therefore the theme of this Musha’irah was Khilafat.

An extensive awareness campaign was run to announce the programme through poster displays at all Mission Houses, sending individual invites, and general invitations through emails and text messages.

Fourteen poets were invited to present their poetry. All the poets entertained the audience with their poems in both English and Urdu languages for two hours. The poetry was of the highest standards. The sentiments captured by poets clearly seemed to resonate the voice from the hearts of the audience who, in return, openly extended their appreciation on every couplet and stanza!

The evening was presided over by Imam Sahib and hosted by Farooq Mahmood Sahib, who deserves special prayers for his hard work in making this event a success.

The event was attended by 450 people making it the biggest Musha'irah held by the UK jama’at so far. The proceedings were divided into two sessions with a break for dinner and salat in the middle. It was also recorded by MTA UK and hopefully will be telecast on MTA.
