Invitation to National Ijtema 2010
Published on Sep 16 2010 by Tommy Kallon, Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK
My Dear Brothers Khuddam and Atfal,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
May the Lord of mankind open unto you the gates of His mercy and may He so ordain that you are always accompanied by the supplication of His angels.
As a firm believer in the efficacy of prayers, I have always placed my reliance on the grace and mercy of Allah and not my own faculties or capacity. In all endeavours, I remain in humble prostration at the doorstep of Allah requesting also the prayers of others. This habit, this inclination, this yearning, is partly the reason why I write you with a humble request for your earnest, fervent and special prayers.
As the size of our Majlis grows, so do our responsibilities and challenges. Reaching out to each and every member is trying, implementing national agendas, programmes and campaigns is similarly testing and, as national events get bigger in scale, organising them becomes more demanding.
The forthcoming National Ijtema is our flagship event and the delivery of this event is the biggest challenge to the administration. While it requires a tremendous amount of enterprise and industry to successfully hold what is now a very large scale event, to the extent of our human endeavour, we are leaving no stone unturned in our preparations and, within the confines of common sense and prudence, we are sparing no expense to facilitate, Insha’Allah, an Ijtema that you all can be proud of and that is fitting to host the august and blessed personality of Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih (atba).
The expectations of Hadhrat Ameerul Mumimeen (atba) are extremely high and striving to live up to his lofty standards is one of the perpetual challenges facing the Majlis. I humbly request you to pray that we can deliver an Ijtema that our beloved Khalifa would be pleased with and may his pleasure for us translate into Allah’s pleasure.
The success of any Jama’at event is measured, among other things, by its attendance. And so, as you pray for the success of the event so too must you be prepared to contribute to its success by attending it and partaking of its fruits. I therefore take the opportunity to extend to you my invitation to the National Ijtema 2010. I very much look forward to welcoming you and also to receiving your feedback on how we can make the National Ijtema an even better experience for our Khuddam and Atfal.
May Allah bless you with His grace and may the moonlight of His mercy illumine your abode.
Wassalam.
Yours humbly,
Tommy Kallon.
