On Saturday 20^th February shortly after the Maghrib Salaat, a Sports & Games night was held in the Glasgow mosque during the Regional Atfal Tarbiyyat class where both Atfal and Khuddam took part in various games.

Games included badminton, table tennis, table football and pool.  Also, this time we introduced an additional competition which was a favourite for all.  This was a chance for all the Khuddam and Atfal present to show their skills on the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3. The Wii was linked with a projector screening to the wall, and the PS3 with a 40inch Plasma TV.

They were a welcome and deserved break for the Atfal who had been at the Tarbiyyat Class since the morning, but unfortunately for them all good things must come to an end and so did this games session, as they had to go and continue their class with a Quiz session. Fortunately, the Khuddam had an extra hour, after which they cleared up and joined the other for the Ishaa Salaat.

In total, 19 Atfal and 17 Khuddam participated.

Football in heaven

Two friends Siraj and Perry are two huge football fans. Their entire lives, they talked & played football.  They even agreed that whoever died first would try to come back and tell the other if there was football in heaven.

One night, Siraj passed away in his sleep after watching the Celtic victory earlier in the evening. He died happy. A few nights later, his buddy Perry awoke to the sound of Siraj’s voice from beyond.
