By the grace of Allah Almighty, the Morden Local Ijtema 2011 was held at the Bait-ul-Futuh Mosque in the Tahir Hall on 15th January 2011. The preparation of the Ijtema began in December 2010, when the Ijtema date was finalised and both Khuddam and Atfal were informed about it in a general meeting.
Halqas, led by their Zoama, were also given responsibilities for various tasks before, during and after the Ijtema. It was made sure that all Khuddam involved in duties also had the opportunity to participate, enjoy and fully benefit from the Ijtema.
A Waqar-e-Amal was arranged to prepare the stage and get the facilities ready after Maghrib prayer on 14th January, the day before Ijtema. Nazim Site, Naveed Ahmed Sahib, and his team were responsible for the site arrangements along with the Khuddam from Bashir Halqa. This Waqar-e-Amal was also used as an opportunity to go through the plans for a final review and all committee members were asked to join the site team; particularly the Nazimeen for Stage, Sports, Ishaat and Registration, to make sure that they had everything set up and ready for the Ijtema.
Tahir hall and Noor hall were prepared for Khuddam and Atfal activities respectively. One of the most exciting tasks was decorating the stage with banners and posters. Registration and Maal desks along with Exhibition Desks were set up; ready for the early start the next day.
The attendees were urged to attend Fajr prayers to start off the Ijtema. After Fajr prayers, the registration session began. After the registration session, the Khuddam and Atfal enjoyed their breakfast.
The Opening Session was chaired by the Regional Qaid Bilal Waseem Sahib. The Tilawat and subsequent Urdu translation were offered by Faizan Rajput Sahib. The English translation was offered by Mirza Muneeb Ahmed Sahib. The Atfal had their Academic competitions in the Noor Hall while the Khuddam had theirs in Tahir Hall. The Academic Competitions consisted of Tilawat, Nazm, Extempore Speech Competition and Prepared Speech for the Atfal, Adhan Competition and the Ta'leem Quiz. The sports competitions consisted of Badminton, Arm Wrestling, Penalty Shoot-out and Tug of War for the Khuddam and 50 Meters Race, 100 Meters Race, Penalty Shoot-out and Arm Wrestling for the Atfal. The Zuhr prayer was followed by a Talqeen-e-Amal Dars session that was delivered by Naseem Bajwa Murabi Sahib in both English and Urdu. After the Talqeen-e-Amal Dars, the Khuddam and Atfal had their lunch which consisted of Biryani and Suwayan. The Closing session ended with an address by Regional Qaid Sahib who urged the Khuddam and Atfal to understand the real essence of the Ijtema by always learning something useful from it. Thanks to the efforts made before and during the Ijtema, a good attendance was achieved.
Khuddam and Atfal were contacted by text messages, phone calls, emails and most importantly through home visits. The result was an overall attendance of 77% for Khuddam and Atfal. A total of 81 Khuddam, 28 Atfal and 18 guests attended the Ijtema.
