The Tariq magazine is a quarterly publication and is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association's main organ to communicate with all it's members in the UK. Since the first issue in 1988, the magazine has addressed a wide range of issues facing the youth of today and covers an array of disciplines. Topics have ranged from concise biographies of holy personages in early Islamic history as well as the ill effects of watching television and career advice such as interview tips and techniques.

By far the most popular section, however, has always been the event reports. These have kept Khuddam (members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association) up to date with recent events such as Charity Walks (MKACC.org) and hiking trips.

The National Khuddam Ijtema (where members from across the UK gather together to take part in academic and sporting competitions) is the highlight of the Khuddam calendar every year. To this end, the Tariq magazine has proved very useful in keeping an historic record of the Ijtema highlights. More importantly, the key points from closing session in which the Khalifa (leader of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community) addresses the UK Khuddam are preserved and relayed across the UK through the magazine.

The magazine itself has always been designed, proof read and published by teams of unpaid volunteers. A nominal subscription (currently at £2 per issue in 2005 compared to £1 in 1993) helps to fund printing and postage costs.

In early 2005, Tariq News was launched as a free half-yearly newspaper to supplement the magazine.

At the same time as the newspaper, the eGazette was also launched as a monthly newsletter delivered by email. This aimed to keep Khuddam up to date on a monthly basis as the Tariq magazine was a quarterly publication. Back issues of the eGazette can be read online.
