Baitul Futuh Blood Drive - March 2nd

Baitul Futuh Region will be hosting a Blood Donation session in conjunction with the National Blood Service (NBS) on Tuesday March 2nd at 2:00pm - 7.45pm in Sports Hall at Baitul Futuh Mosque.

How to Register?

There are four ways you can register to donate

1) Call the NBS hotline on 0300 123 23 23 and register yourself by giving your details and naming Baitul Futuh as the location you wish to donate at.
(Select venue and click book - see attached for further guidance).
3) Complete the attached  'Blood Donation Form' and we can book you in directly .You must fill in ALL of the fields, otherwise we cannot process the forms.
4) Turn up on the day and donate (we would prefer if you book to ensure there is no delay in waiting).

If you are donating we will greatly appreciate an email confirming your attendance and time you have registered or attend to donate.

Why are we doing this?

In short, as Muslims, we have a fundamental duty to help serve humanity and by donating blood, in essence, you are saving a life. Currently only 4% of the UK population donate blood which leaves a huge strain on the NHS, which relies on voluntary blood donation to maintain the country's blood supply. In addition the NBS is in short supply of ethnic minoritiy blood and therefore we plan to maintain and develop this link so that we in Baitul Futuh become a regular blood donation centre to capture this shortfall.

Who can attend?

This event is open to  Khuddam and Ansar and will also be open to the general public so feel free to bring any guests. A leaflet drop has been carried out to the local neighbours to encourage them to also join this initiative.
