Morden Ijtema Report 2012

Alhamdulillah, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya and Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya Morden held their local Ijtema 2012 in Tahir Hall, Baitul Futuh on Sunday, 8th January 2012.

It was Masha'Allah a very successful Ijtema; very well attended and enjoyed by everyone. A brief overview of the Ijtema activities are shown below:

Planning

The preparation of the Ijtema began in December 2011, when the Ijtema date was finalised and both Khuddam and Atfal were informed about it in a general meeting. An Ijtema committee was formed to help plan and implement various tasks to help deliver a successful event.

Throughout the month of December and the first week of January, regular committee meetings were held to review the progress of the arrangements especially the attendance campaign.

Site preparation

A Waqar-e-Amal session was organised to prepare the stage and get the facilities ready after maghrib prayer on 7th January, the day before Ijtema.

This Waqar-e-Amal session was also used as an opportunity to go through the plans for a final review and all committee members were asked to join the site team; particularly Nazimeen for stage, sports, Ishaat and registration to make sure that they have everything setup and ready for the Ijtema day.

One of the most exciting tasks was decorating the stage with banners and posters. Registration and maal desks along with exhibition desks were also setup; ready for the early start next day.

The day started with Fajr prayer followed by recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Registration started at 7:45 am. During registration every khadim and tifl confirmed their contact details for Amoor-e-Tulaba and Sanat-o-Tijarat database.
