Baitul Futuh Regional Ijtema Report 2014



Alhamdulillah, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Baitul Futuh held their Regional Ijtema 2014 in Nasir Hall, Baitul Futuh on Sunday, 30th March 2014.

It was Masha'Allah a very successful Ijtema; very well attended and enjoyed by everyone. A brief overview of the Ijtema activities are shown below:


The preparation of the regional Ijtema began on the 19th December 2013, when the Ijtema date was finalised and Khuddam were informed about it in general meetings, texts, calls and by email. An Ijtema committee was formed to help plan and implement various tasks to help deliver a successful event.

Throughout the month of February and March, regular committee meetings were held to review the progress of the arrangements especially the attendance campaign.

Site preparation

A Waqar-e-Amal session was organised to prepare the stage and get the facilities ready after Maghrib prayer on 28th March, two days before Ijtema.

This Waqar-e-Amal session was also used as an opportunity to go through the plans for a final review and all committee members were asked to join the site team; particularly all qaideen for stage, sports, Isha’at and registration to make sure that they have everything setup and ready for the Ijtema day.

Ijtema day

The day started with Fajr prayer followed by recitation of the Holy Qur'an. Registration started at 8 am. A maal desk was also setup for the collection of Khuddam and Atfal chanda.


After the registration session, Khuddam and Atfal had their breakfast. The breakfast contained pie with nan bread and continental breakfast which included fried eggs, beans and hash brown.

Opening Session


The opening session commenced at 10:00 am and was chaired by respected Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya. Sadr Sahib gave an inspirational speech in which he reminded us about the importance and purpose of the ijtema. He also spoke about the advent of the promised Messiah and his promised son Hadhrat Musleh Maud. The attendance in the opening session was 145.



Academic Competitions

After the opening session the academic sessions started at 11am. This first competition was Tilawat which had a lot competent reciters. Tilawat competition was followed by nazm and speech competition, Team Quiz and Baitbazi. Khuddam took a lot of interest in these competitions and tried to participate in all competitions.


Lunch was served after the academic competitions at 13:15. The menu was rice with chicken korma and kheer. Lunch was enjoyed by everyone and the team received some good feedback.

Zikre habib

At 2 pm khuddam went to the mosque for zohr prayer followed by zikre habib by respected Naseem Bajwa sahib. In his address murabbi sahib explained how to get closer to Allah by reciting the Holy Qur'an, saying the Prayer and by reading the books of the promised messiah (as).

Sports Competitions

The qualifying rounds took place a day before, on the 29th. On the ijtema day we had the semi finals and finals after zohr prayer. The outdoor sports consisted of Football, Cricket, Tug of war and race. The indoor Sports consisted of basketball, Kalai Pakarna and Arm wrestling.


At 17:45 there was a mushaira which khuddam really enjoyed and participated to the max. There were concerns for non urdu speakers but after the mushaira khuddams who couldn’t speak urdu fluent gave very positive feedback.



Closing Session  



The closing session commenced at 18:30 and was chaired by Rana Mashood sahib. The session started with the recitation with the Holy Quran with translation followed by the pledge. After nazm, prizes were given out to all the competition winners. Murabbi sahib gave a very influential speech which kept the khuddam engaged. Murabbi sahib explained the importance of Huzoor (aba)  Friday Sermons in his speech.


The ijtema was mashallah very successful and the attendance was 82%.
