Does Religion have the Answers?
We also selected five contemporary issues that are associated with this topic: Poverty, Social Decline, Environment, Credit Crunch and World Conflicts.
These issues were on the recent ‘Religion Today’ survey that the Jama'at has conducted.

Alhamdulliah, Raynes Park Qaidat held a villlage campaign for the purpose of Tabligh with an attendance of nine. Visitors got an introduction to the Jama'at and free leaflets and brochures. Two police officers and a councillor visited. We gave them detailed information about the Jama'at and encouraged them to visit the Jama'at at Jalsa. Another two notable visitors were an elderly couple who belonged to the Christian Science movement. This couple were keen to discuss matters of religion, ills in modern day society and discussions varying interpretations about Jesus and the message in the New Testament.

Maulana Naseem Ahmad Bajwa Sahib joined the event at 2:30pm and brought everyone together for an informal group discussion. Before the discussion began, everyone was made to make own introduction. Bajwa Sahib expounded the difference between Ahmadi Muslims and non-Ahmadi Muslims and highlighted the message we brought, 'Love for All, Hatred for None'. He also explained the parallel of the second advent of Elijah (fulfilled in the person of John the Baptist) as an argument in favour of the Promised Messiah (as) as being the second advent of Jesus Christ.

Following this, there was a good open discussion. There was a general talk for planning future events. There was also a discussion on how we could improve the response from the local community.

The following books were given to the visitors:

Four copies of "The Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam" by the Promised Messiah (as)

One copy of "Holy Prophet (saw)'s Kindness to Children" by Rashid Ahmad Chaudhry

One copy of "Selected Verses of the Holy Qur'an"
