Raynes Park February 2010 - Village Campaign

The village Tabligh campaign was a success by the grace of Allah (swt) with a good public turnout. The event started off with an informal discussion around a table, with refreshments served between 5pm and 6pm.

At the beginning of the event, Khuddam Tabligh Secretary Raynes Park - Rehman Sahib - gave a briefing of the purpose of the event and an overview of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. He then gave a 10 minute speech on the life sketch of the Holy Prophet (saw).

The event did not develop into a discussion about poverty, social decline, the environment, the 'credit crunch; and world conflicts as had originally been planned. Rather, the guests themselves wanted to discuss issues relating to Islam, particularly:

1)    Our relationship with other Muslim groups
2)    Our view of Osama bin Laden
3)    Our view of those people who refuse to accept Islam
4)    How Muslims and others are being victimised since 9/11
5)    Inter-community cohesion
6)    Women’s rights in Islam
7)    The authenticity of the Holy Qur'an
