Balham Qiadat Hospital Visit to St Georges

On 27th December 2010 Khuddam from MKA Balham donated gifts to a local Children’s Ward in St. George’s Hospital.

We had planned to give presents to the children in the Children’s Ward a week prior. I contacted St. George’s Hospital and arranged a date with them. When I told the staff members what we were planning to do, she was very happy for our visit and looked forward to our meeting. She gave me a brief introduction about the procedure. We bought about 24 gifts for boys, girls and staff. Gifts included Toys and chocolates.

4 Balham Khuddam carried out the hospital visit: Qaid Balham, Local Motamid, Assistant Motamid and Nazim Tarbiyyat

On the day we went to the Children’s Ward (Nicola’s ward) at around 2pm. The staff member who welcomed us told that due to critical illness of some children she was unable to allow us for a tour of the ward. However, she accepted the gifts and said she would distribute them to the children. We introduced ourselves and the Jama'at briefly. At the end we gave our details and got some pictures taken with staff members. The children’s ward staff nurse said: “It was great to see young Muslims getting involved in these activities.”
