Gillingham khuddam enjoy success at MKA Charity Challenge

The MKA Charity Challenge was held on 9 May 2010 in the beautiful surroundings of Windsor.

Having spent the weeks leading up to the event raising funds for various charities and collecting sponsorship it was finally a chance for the Khuddam to complete the 10K challenge.

6 Khuddam from Gillingham attended, all of whom managed to complete the route. Of note, Yasser Khan finished in 2nd place with a time of 43 minutes 13 seconds.

The final ceremony was held at a nearby hotel, where Khuddam from Gillingham were honoured for their achievements.

The highest individual sponsorship monies raised was by Sultan Lone Sahib who had collected over £6,500.

Sheikh Musawar Ahmed was also awarded a prize for the 3rd highest sponsorship money collected by an individual, over £3,000.

And with the store collections for the various charities raising approximately £500, it indicated a very successful event for Gillingham Qiadat which had raised over £10,000,  with other individual sponsorship monies yet to be added to the total.
