Gillingham Khuddam 'Go Ape' at Leeds Castle

On Sunday 20th June, Khuddam and Atfal from the MKA Gillingham Qiadat made their way to Leeds Castle in Maidstone to challenge themselves on the exciting and intense 'Go Ape' course.

With 19 participants, the Khuddam and Atfal were split into two groups and were then given a safety briefing before being let loose on the course with all equipment safely secured.

Despite the tough challenge all managed to complete the course successfully.

With all Khuddam safely back on the ground, everyone enjoyed lunch together in the beautiful and picturesque surrouondings of Leeds Catsle. Ansar guests, who had been invited to join for lunch, were also in attendance at the picnic. Alhamdulillah the weather was ideal and it stayed dry throughout.

Zohr and Asr prayers were then offered and the day was ended with a short address by Qaid Sahib, MKA Gillingham, who thanked everyone for coming and reminded the group of their obligations as Khuddam, citing recent examples of bravery and obedience in the Lahore attacks as inspiration.

The outing was thoroughly enjoyed by all Khuddam and Atfal and, Insha'Allah, further outings will be organised in the future.
