On Saturday 17th July khuddam from Gillingham tested their footballing skills at a local tournament organised by the BME Youth Forum.

The BME is a youth group set up to promote the needs and concerns of young people in Medway. Aimed primarily at local ethnic groups they organise a range of activities as well as offering guidance, educational help and promoting integration into the community.

MKA Gillingham was invited as one of the 32 teams to a 5-a-side tournament for 14-24 year olds.

Unfortunately, rather like their international counterparts, the Khuddam underperformed and could not progress from the group stage after winning one match and losing two.

However, the tournament was very well organised and enjoyed thoroughly by all participants.
