Peterborough Local Ijtema 2011-2012

25^th December 2011

By the grace of Allah the Almighty Peterborough held its local Ijtema on 25^th December 2011 at the Local President Fareed Ahmed Sahib’s house. It was a great success amongst the Khuddam and Atfal. A total of 11 Khuddam out of 13 attended and 2 out of 4 Atfal were present. We had the fortune of having Regional Qaid Fahad Ashraf Sahib, Naib Regional Qaid Kavi Rehan Sahib and Regional Motamid Farhan Ahmad Sahib. We also had the fortune of having respected Naib Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Dr Aziz Hafiz.

Session 1

According to the set tradition the Ijtema started with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an along with translation by Sajeel Mian. This was followed by the Khuddam pledge which was led by Regional Qaid Midlands Fahad Ashraf Sahib. Following on from this there was a nazm which was recited by the local president Fareed Ahmed Sahib. Hadith was read by Zubair Tariq and finally a passage from the writings of the Promised Messiah (as) was read by Adeel Mian. Regional Qaid Sahib then gave a few words of wisdom to all that were present.

Session 2

The second session started with congregational Zuhr and Asr prayers at 1:30pm. After the prayers the Ijtema competitions were held. All Khuddam and Atfal participated along with some guests who came from different Jama'ats.

Sports

At the end of session two, an indoor sports competition took place. One of the games played was called ‘Release your Wrist’. The idea of the game was to release your wrist with one jerk. After the sports activities, food was served to all Khuddam, Atfal and guests.

Closing session and Prize Distribution

The final session started with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Mohammad Malas. Following this was the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Which was led by Naib Sadr Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Dr Aziz Hafiz. Dr Aziz Hafiz Sahib, then, gave a message from Sadr Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Fahim Anwer Sahib followed by some words of wisdom by Doctor Sahib himself and subsequently Du'a concluded Peterborough’s local Ijtema 2011-2012

The total Ijtema attendance was 30.
