On the evening of 24th December 2010, MKA Birmingham Central helped Birmingham Jama’at members to visit “Birmingham Christmas Shelter” which provides warmth, food, shelter and company to homeless people and is completely dependent on donations and volunteers.

Birmingham Jama’at have been supporting this organisation for many years by feeding them and got the opportunity to feed the needy and make them feel that Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the one which follows the right teachings of Islam by providing help and support to the people in need regardless of race, colour and faith.

The food (rice, curry and naan) was cooked at Darul Barakaat and cost £160 was borne by the Birmingham Jama’at members. We served 50 homeless people, and once they were done, we served the volunteers, which were 25 in numbers.  We also introduced Jama’at Ahmadiyya to the managers, guests and volunteer who were very thankful to the community for helping them to feed poor people.

Our members were overwhelmed by the compliments we got for our humanity service; all the guests and volunteers appreciated the taste and ate with great pleasure.
