Police delegation welcomed at Darul Barakaat Mosque

 

 

By the grace of Allah, Midlands Region hosted a police visit to Darul Barakaat, Birmingham. The police delegation consisted of seven officers, led by Sergeant David Bates.

At 7:45pm the officers arrived in two cars. They were welcomed by Regional Missionary, Naib Amir Dr Ashraf Sahib, Presidents of Birmingham East and Central, Khuddam, the Tabligh team and Tanweer Sahib, Qaid Birmingham East.

The programme started with both parties introducing themselves to one other, which was then followed by a tour of Darul Barakaat Mosque, led by Tanweer Sahib.

Regional Qaid Fahad Sahib also joined the gathering to welcome the officers. Following this, Regional Tabligh Nazim Toby Sahib began his presentation the theme of which was an introduction to the beliefs and values of Islam Ahmadiyyat.

The presentation was followed by some questions from the police delegation. In addition to this, Sergeant Bates also fielded some questions from the Khuddam of the region.

Prior to the police delegation's departure, some of the Khuddam offered their services as volunteers to Sergeant Bates who leads the local neighbourhood police team, based in Small Heath. The following leaflets were also handed out:

This is an ongoing programme designed to build a strong links between the police, local councillors and MPs in the region.

Sergeant Bates after the visit said: 

“Thank you very much for hosting us last night.  Everyone on the team really enjoyed the evening and the meal.  It was a real pleasure for the team to be able to visit the mosque and meet you all and we were made to feel very welcome.”
