Birmingham West Celebrates Diamond Jubilee

Birmingham West Celebrates Diamond Jubilee

On Sunday 3rd of June 2012. Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Birmingham West branch celebrated The Queen's Diamond Jubilee as a Street Party. However due to the bad weather conditions the function was moved inside. Invited for the party were local neighbours, local dignitaries including the Mayor and MP.

The founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (as) wrote a letter to the Queen Victoria at her Diamond Jubilee. In this letter he wrote a prayer for the Queen. The programme started with this prayer for Her Majesty. After this prayer consequently everyone stood up for the National Anthem. There was a cheque presentation with cheques for Mayor's charity and MEP's charity.

After the Mayor's and MEP's short speech a silent prayer was offered which concluded the formal session.
