- By the Grace of Allah, Almighty we were able to hold our first major, Regional Badminton event on 12th February 2011. Held at Darul Barakaat Mosque, Birmingham, Having notice poor response I informed Regional Qaid Sahib who started to ring Qaideen himself as we were expecting national Nazim Okasha Sahib and his team to attend. Ishaat Department Mubarak Sahib and Zain-ull-Abiddin Sahib were at hand to promote the event onto the Khuddam website. The programme started at 9:30am sharp by registration.
- Starting as always with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by translations and Pledge which was led by Qaid Birmingham East Tanweer Dar Sahib and silent prayer by a young Khadim who is president of Leicester Masha’Allah.
- Before the event health and safety procedures were announced followed by the main objectives of the tournament was to build strong brotherhood. The chairman of the session explained the rules of the game.
- The games kicked off by Leicester boys taking the lead from the start, after this we took a break for Zuhr and Asr which was led by Mukaram Maulana Abdul Ghafaar Sahib.
- It was followed by short announcements and Tarbiyaat highlights regarding the Ahmadiyya persecution in Indonesia.
- It was time for all Khuddam to join buffet Pasta and Keema i.e. healthy food. We were also joined by the local Police team which was headed by Sgt Steve Pursglove who later Captained Police team in Badminton and Table Tennis.
- The Police had setup a stall and interacted with Khuddam as real brothers. Sgt commented “I have been to Muslim communities but this is extraordinary treatment you gave us" Sgt Steve said.
- Soon it was time for finals in both tournaments Badminton and Table Tennis. Booth first prizes went to Leicester including the best attendance.
- Final session as usual Qur'an recitation followed by translation, Hadith and Sayings of the Promised Messiah (as) followed by short remarks from Regional Qaid Sahib and a full report of the event by Chairman of the event Irfan Malik Sahib.
- The Police gave a brief presentation on counter-terrorism and distributed informative leaflets.
- It was brilliant idea to put two events on the same day thanks to everyone who co-ordinated professionally. The other being the Regional Atfal Tarbiyaati Class 2011.
- Prize distributions: All first prizes descended to Leicester. The police received 1 copy of Holy Qur'an, Two copies of Revelation and Rationality and three full packs of leaflets.
