Adopt A Street - Midlands Region

Adopt A street Midlands Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Midlands took part in a litter picking session in Birmingham. The idea of 'Adopt A street Midlands' was bought forward to the local police by The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Midlands took this opportunity to bring different communities together. There was representation of other local groups and the local councillor & members from the West Midlands Police . The youth group litter picked in areas around Birmingham. In the process alot of positive feedback was received by locals who wanted to become part of 'Adopt A street' scheme. The fact that peaceful British Muslims were taking part in a voluntary street operation came as a surprise to many locals. The day ended with pleasentries exhanged between the different groups. The event was a success and more of these are planned in the future.

Ahmadiyya Muslims represented Islam at the Leamington Peace Festival 2011. This was held on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th June 2011 in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community promoted the message of peace, love and respect. This unique event attracted thousands who came and attended this two day event.
