On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, Tuesday 9th December 2008, Majlis Khudaam-ul-Ahmadiyya Bradford North presented Barnardo’s children’s charity with a selection of Christmas presents to be distributed among the under privileged youth.

It was an idea put together by the Khidmat-e-Khalq department and the Santo Tajarat team. Members of the Khudaam amila and non-amila members contributed towards the purchasing of the toys which ranged from stationery sets to action figures for the boys and make up and scented candles for the girls.

A representative of Barnardo’s came to Masjid Al Mahdi at Eid prayers to collect the donated gifts and also had chance to speak to members of the Lajna Imallah Bradford North.

The Khudaam will liaise once again with Barnardo’s in the New Year for the charity’s representative to come and give a talk on adoption and fostering as it has been highlighted to us that there is lack of Asian foster parents and there is a great demand for such persons.
