  • To experience, understand and appreciate the benefits of physical activity and its impact on:

    • Physical Fitness
    • Personal/Social/Spiritual interactions
  • Positive PR of the Jamaat through the event itself and the organisation
  • Highlight and observe any sporting talent within the Jamaat

09:30 – 10:00             Arrival/Registration at Bradford Mission House

10:00 – 10:30             Formal Introduction (Tilawat, welcome, rules&regs, importance of the day/aims of the day, Group Draw)

10:30 – 10:50             Travel to Sports Centre
11:00 – 13:00             Beginning of tournament – Group Phase (see below)
13:00 – 13:30             Salaat (Zuhr/Asr) and Health Speech
13:30 – 14:00             Lunch
14:00 – 15:00             Conclusion of Group Phase Games
15:00 – 15:20             Knockout Stage Introduction
15:20 – 16:30             Semi Finals (Group Winners/Plate – 4 in total)
16:40 – 17:05             Final (Plate Comp)
17:10 – 17:35             Final (Winners of Group Phase)
17:40 – 18:00             Concluding address

  • Top Two from each group enter Semi Finals (Winners Route)
  • Bottom Two also enter Semi Finals (Plate Route)

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
 
  • Full Football game play (NO overhead Restrictions)
  • Maximum no. of 8 Squad players
  • Roll on Roll off subs (Permission of Referee)
  • 5-a-side Football Area rules apply (Penalty awarded if outfield player enters, Gk exits)
  • GK can ONLY throw out
 
  • Yellow and Red card system to be used (2 yellow in a game = Red)
  • Red card = 1 game suspension
  • Referee may use Sin Bin rule for 1minute
  • Yellow card =
    • Unintentional Foul
    • Time wasting
  • Red card =
    • Bad/Foul Language
    • Aggressive Behaviour through Intentional Foul
    • Disrespect of referee
 
  • Each GROUP game will last 12minutes ONE way
  • Semi Final 15/ (20) minutes ONE way
  • Final 20/ (25) minutes ONE way
  • If Group Table positions are tied, goal difference will be used/head to head results, then penalties between the respective teams (Sudden death)
 
COST
 
  • Each team to pay £45.00
  • Will cover hire, lunch, prizes costs

By the grace of Allah the Almighty North East Region were able to hold Khilafat Jubilee Football and Quiz competition. This was organised and ran by the Regional Nazim Sehat-e-Jismani, Hadi Malik and his team. The competition took place on 7th March 2009 in Bradford at an external venue. The event ran simultaneously along with Quiz competition.

Eight teams participated in the quiz competition, these teams comprised of Bradford North and South, Huddersfield North and South, Sheffield, North West and North East Regional Team. Each team comprised of seven players inclusive of subsitutes.

Regional Qaid North East, Yousaf Aftab Sahib and Deputy Regional Qaids Adam Walker Sahib and Mansoor Khan Sahib were also present and supervised the final.

After a very close and well fought final, North East Regional Team won against Bradford South. This competition was also a preparatory event for the upcoming Regional and National Ijtema.

Alhamdulillah the event was enjoyed by all and was well received allowing spectators to learn from this experience and increase in their bond of brotherhood.

The event was finished with silent prayer led by Regional Qaid North East, Yousaf Aftab Sahib. May Allah continue to shower his Mercy and Blessings upon MKA UK and the Region.
