Bradford Youth put Humanity First!
Saturday saw a group of 30 Volunteers take to the streets of Bradford City Centre and raise money for the victims of the recent Haiti Earthquake disaster on behalf of the charity Humanity First.
Adam Walker, co-ordinator of the street collections, stated "We started the day off at 10am and finished by 5pm. Everyone passing by donated with heart-felt passion and we even had some kind street beggars making a handsome contribution. This shows the extent to which this disaster has touched the compassionate hearts of Bradford.”
Humanity First UK sent a team of nine doctors to the region on Friday morning and have already started to prepare aid to be sent out from the charity’s US based offices.
“In total, £1800 was raised for this noble cause by the good people of Bradford. We will be collecting again at the Victoria Morrisons in Bradford on 6th & 7th February, as well as looking into more street collections in Leeds, Huddersfield and Bradford in the near future,” Adam Walker added.
