North West Region Inter-Cricket Tournament

 The North West Region inter-cricket tournament took place on Saturday 13th June 2009 at 10am at Alexandra Park, Manchester. This had been planned for the week prior to this date but due to the bad weather conditions, the tournament had to be cancelled an hour before play was due to start. Nevertheless this weekend brought with it a lot of sunshine and it was attended by 22 Khuddam, 2 Atfal and 2 Ansar.

 

Two teams were made – Manchester A and Manchester B. Haroon was the captain of Team A and Irfan was captain for Team B. They played 3 friendly matches against each other. Team A won 2 out of the 3 matches. Scores for the day

GAME 1 - TEAM B won
TEAM A – 77 runs in 12 overs
TEAM B – 78 in 11 overs
 
GAME 2 - TEAM A won by 3 wickets
TEAM A – 85 runs in 10 overs
TEAM B – 65 runs all out

GAME 3 - TEAM A won by 4 wickets
TEAM A – 116 runs in 16 overs
TEAM B – 100 runs all out

Refreshments were provided throughout the day, which consisted of fruits and drinks. The competition came to a close at 6.15pm. By the grace of Allah, it was a very successful event and everyone enjoyed the day.
