By the grace of Almighty Allah, MKA Scotland Region held a Tabligh Intensive Course on 7th February 2009 at the Baitur Rahman Mosque in Glasgow.
The event opened with Tilawat followed by Nazm, and then the MKA pledge led by Regional Qaid of Scotland, Ahmed Owusu-Konadu Sahib. Yousaf Ashraf Sahib then gave a brief introduction of the guests Mashood Ahmed Sahib (the course coordinator and Additional Mohtamim Tabligh), Mushood Bhutt Sahib (Additional Mohtamim Tabligh) and Fazal Syed sahib (Assistant Mohtamim Tabligh).
Following this, Regional Qaid Sahib who chaired the function gave the opening speech in which he highlighted the importance of Tabligh and emphasised that Tabligh is compulsory for us as Ahmadis because it was compulsory for the Holy Prophet (saw) and the Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi (as), and that if we do not engage in Tabligh, we are never doing justice to our being members of Islam and Ahmadiyyat, the chosen faith for the revival of Islam and reformation of mankind in the latter days. He also thanked the members for attending the function and requested them to make the best use of the event.
The Tabligh team then began the course and covered it in a very enjoyable and interactive way. The first discussion was on the topic “The Survival of Jesus (as) from the Cross”. Evidence from the Bible was provided to prove that Jesus (as) had actually had survived the cross. The next topic was “The death of Jesus (as)” in light of the Holy Qur’an. During this discussion the Tabligh team taught the Khuddam how they could provide evidence from the Holy Qur’an to prove the natural death of Jesus (as).
The function ended with a question and answer session. The Regional Missionary of Scotland, Maulana Muhammad Akram Malik Sahib, joined the function at this point. Members had the opportunity to ask questions relating to the discussed topics as well as those relating to Tabligh in general. This was followed by some words by Regional Missionary Sahib in which he expressed how pleased he was about this course organised by the Khuddam, after which he led in a silent prayer to close the function.
