 Atfal Quiz Competition, Scotland:

 

By the Grace and Mercy of Allah, after hard work behind the scenes by Regional Nazim Atfal Arshad Mehmood Sahib and his team, there was a Quiz Competition for Atfal in Scotland on Saturday 13^th February 2010. This was the first time such an event had been organised in Scotland and it took place as part of the Regional Scotland Atfal Tarbiyyat Class to test the memory of the Atfal in religious knowledge and other general issues. The syllabus was the first ten pages of the Ta’leem Book and was provided to each Tifl, with teams being formed well before the event.

The quiz started at 7pm in which three teams of 4 Atfal were formed. There were two rounds. In the first round, which was a group event, Team C (Qasim Mehmood (captain), Mazhar Ahmed, Noman Quraishi and Safeer Ahmed) won this competition and in the second round - an individual event - Ansar Hameed Quraishi came in first place.

All Atfal enjoyed the event and hope that this is the first of many to come.
