Atfal Tarbiyyati Class

 

Day 1 (Saturday):

Opening Session

By the Grace of Allah, Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya Scotland managed to hold a two day Tarbiyyati Class on 13th and 14th February 2010. The class started at 11am on Saturday with recitation of the Holy Qur'an & translation by Arsalan Ahmad Khalid (Glasgow), pledge by Regional Qaid Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Scotland Mr. Ahmed Owusu-Konadu Sahib, Hadith & translation by Qasim Mehmood (Glasgow), writings of the Promised Messiah (as) by Hamza Saleem Sher (Edinburgh), a Nazm & translation by Jalees Ahmad Khan (Edinburgh). Then, Regional Nazim Atfal Scotland Arshad Mehmood Sahib (Photo above) welcomed all Atfal from the region and their parents and read out the program outline.

Our new Regional Murabbi Atfal Mr. Naeem Sattar Sahib (photo above) proceeded to address the session and enlightened the importance of coming to the Mosque for regular Ta'leem and Tarbiyyat classes. This session ended with silent prayer led by Maulana Daud Ahmad Sahib.

Study Area Session One:

Regional Ameer Scotland takes a Study Group

At 12pm Atfal divided into three groups according to their age for the teaching class session to begin. Teaching materials were provided to the teachers. This session lasted till 1pm when the Zuhr/Asr Salaat were offered followed by lunch at 1:30pm.

Study Area Session Two:

The second session started at 2:30pm and Atfal again were divided into three groups. This session lasted until 4:30pm.

Sports:

There were two sports sessions organised for Atfal. In the first session Atfal played
badminton, table tennis, table football and pool on the upper hall of our Mission House.
The duration of this session was 40 minutes.
In the second session we experienced, for the first time in Scotland Region, video
games to make this programme more attractive. Atfal played some famous games on Wii and Playstation 3.

Quiz Competition:
For the first time there was the introduction of a Ta'leem Book Quiz competition in this Tarbiyyat
Class to test the memory and religious knowledge level of the Atfal. The syllabus included the first
ten pages of the Ta'leem Book published by Centre. The syllabus was provided to each Tifl and teams
were formed well before the event.
The quiz started at 7pm in which three teams of 4 Atfal were formed. There were two rounds.
In the first round, which was a group event, Team A (Ansar Hameed Qureshi, Adeel Ahmad
Rana, Fareed Ahmad Chughtai and Abdul Hayee Ahmad) won and in the
second round, which was an individual event, Tifl Ansar Quraishi won. Prizes
will be distributed at the Regional Ijtema of Scotland Region in April.
After the quiz competition Isha’a Salaat were offered followed by an interesting story from the early
History of Ahmadiyyat by the respected Murabbi Sahib. This was followed by dinner. Nine
Atfal slept over at the Mission House along with a team of Khuddam.


Day 2 (Sunday):
On the 2nd day of the class, Atfal woke up at 5am, packed up their beddings, performed
ablutions and offered Tahajjud Salaat, which started at 5:15am. This was followed by Fajr at 6:15am and then Darsul Quran delivered by Murabbi Sahib. After Dars all Atfal
recited the Holy Quran for 30 minutes individually but supervised by a team of Khuddam.
Breakfast was then served at 8am.


Waqar-e-Amal (Inside the Mosque):
Atfal were divided into two groups for this event. One group cleaned the upper
hall where sports & food were served and other group tidied up the Mosque prayer room area
and the stairs. This session ended at 8:45am.


Khidmat-e-Khalq (Cleaning Mosque neighborhood):

These two groups of 12 Atfal then went out of the mosque to clean up the surrounding area
and a park near the Mosque. For this purpose advertisement leaflets and posters were made
and posted in the neighboring park and residents, a week to this event. Atfal clean-up and
collected rubbish into bin bags. One neighboring lady who was very impressed came out
from her house and expressed her appreciation to this charitable and social work done by
the Atfal and also gave £5 to children for charity purposes. This interesting session ended at
9:30am.
 

Study Area Session Three & Final Session:


The final session of this Tarbiyyati Class started at 11:30am in which Atfal divided into two groups
due to the low attendance from the Atfal. This session ended at 1pm. After Zuhr/Asr Salaat,
lunch was served and the closing session started. After recitation of Holy Qur'an & pledge,
Regional Nazim Atfal gave a brief report of the Tarbiyyat Class and then Regional Amir
Scotland Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Abid Sahib addressed the Atfal and their parents. The final session
ended with Du'a led by Regional Missionary In charge of Scotland Maulana Daud
Ahmad Sahib.
