On Friday 11 November 2011, 7 members of MKA Cardiff gathered at Newport city centre to help the Royal British Region Wales to collect for the poppy appeal. Their participation was greatly appreciated by the public. The Lord Mayor of Newport was also present at 11 o’clock when a 2 minutes silence took place and he thanked Khuddam for their efforts and help in this regard. A total of £226.25 was collected by Khuddam on this occasion. Later on, a press release was also sent out to local media and newspapers.
