Tahir Region presents a Regional Pool and Snooker Tournament

 

By the Grace of Allah, on 18 December 2011, Tahir Region held its first ever snooker and pool tournament at Sutton’s Riley’s Pool & Snooker club. The games started at 3pm following the draw on the draw sheet. An open invitation was sent to all the neighbouring south regions as well. Khuddam from neighbouring regions attended the tournament with great excitement and we were even blessed with some National Amila Members who attended the tournament and enjoyed their participation. Regional Qaid Mr Musawir Idrees and National Amila member Mr Sultan Lone joined us in the games.

 

Each person paid £5 each to participate, and the amount was put towards the cost of hiring the tables. Snacks such as chips and drinks along with some spiced peanuts were provided to boost Khuddam performance.

 

The concluding session was held at 6pm. Regional Qaid, Mr Musawir Idrees, concluded the day with a motivational speech. The winners were awarded with trophies and medals. Finally, we were lead into silent prayer by Regional Qaid sahib.

 

Alhamudlillah, the event was a success and about 40 Khuddam attendended this event.
