28 January 2012, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Surbiton held their annual local Ijtema at Richard Challoner High School, Manor Drive North.

Alhamdulillah the event was well participated with 70% of Khuddam and 100% of Atfal attending. Guest of honour was Mohtamim Sehat-e-Jismani - Okasha Ahmad Sahib, who is also a member of the Qiadat. He inaugurated the occasion and in his address stated that members should use these events to get to know one another and thus strengthen our bonds of brotherhood. Tilawat was performed by Hafiz Asif Zubair with translation by Daniyal Kahlon, followed by the Khuddam pledge.

Academic events proceeded with Tilawat, Nazm and Adhan competition. It was made compulsory for all members to participate in the Extempore Speech and Quiz competition and resulted in a lively atmosphere.

Mohtamim Atfal Nasir Khwaja Sahib attended at lunch time with members of the Tahir Regional Majlis-e-Amila. Collections were made for Humanity First 'Water for Life Project'. Pizzas were served followed by Zuhr/Asr prayer led by Murabbi Atfal Mubarak Lone Sahib. Following this a session of Talqeen-e-Amal was delivered by Kaleem Ahmed Sahib on the Qur'anic portion 'To vie with one another in good works'. This was the theme of our Ijtema in line with the National syllabus.

Sports took place in the afternoon with Cricket, Table-tennis and Badminton competitions and football for Atfal. 

In the final session Qaid Majlis Imran Rehman Sahib thanked all participating members for a successful day and reminded the Qiadat to build on this event and ascertain closer ties with one another.
