 TAHAJJUD & NAFLI FAST AT NEW YEAR

By the Grace of Allah, a program of nafli fast has been implemented within the Sheffield Jama'at in accordance with dearest Huzur’s (atba) instruction and Khuddam are participating in it, Alhamdulillah. This fast is planned for every Thursday. Due to the new year falling on a Sunday, it was decided to fast on New Year’s Day.

With continuous efforts of Mr. Saeed Ahmad, the General Secretary of the Jama'at, through ongoing reminders via sms and phone, by the Grace of Allah, a good proportion of Jama'at members including Atfal, Khuddam, Lajna and Ansar attended for tahajjud prayers and sehri from as far as Doncaster.

 

12 Khuddam attended this blessed event whilst others made arrangements at home. The program started at 5.30am and we were fortunate to have Naseer Shah Sahib from London who led us in Tahajjud after which there was Darsul Quran. After sehri he also led us in Fajr prayers.

 

Sehri was prepared at the mosque kitchen by Khuddam who had been awake through most of the night making such arrangements. May Allah bless them always. A lovely sehri was prepared and served hot. There was also mithai (sweet meat) to mark the beginning of the New Year.

 

The program ended at approximately 7.15am after Fajr prayers.
