25 Years of Khilafat in the UK

My Dear Atfal and Khuddam Brothers,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.

25 years ago today (30th April 1984), Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IV (ru) arrived in the UK following his migration from Pakistan. The story of his migration is one of the most remarkable chapters in the history of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya. It will always be remembered for the manifest Divine succour Huzur (ru) received at every stage of his journey out of Pakistan despite the evil designs of the government and for the remarkable success the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has enjoyed under the blessed institution of Khilafat in the post-migration period.

We, the members of the UK Jama’at, are therefore singularly honoured to have the blessed and august personality of the Khalifa of the time living amongst us for the past quarter of a century and to have witnessed first hand the remarkable progress the Jama’at has made during this period. Over the past 25 years, the members of the UK Jama’at have been able to join the Khalifa of the time as he leads the prayers and we have access to him as he takes time out of his most busy schedule to hold audiences with the members of the Jama’at. This is truly a great Divine blessing which others around the world can only yearn for. Therefore, we must be grateful to Allah for this bounty and the best way we can show our gratitude and appreciation is by being foremost in our response to the call of the Khalifa and to obey his every command.

I admonish all members of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK, therefore, to strive to develop a strong and special relationship with the Khalifa of the time so that he knows you on a deep personal basis and takes personal interest in your welfare. Cultivate the habit of writing letters to him regularly to seek his guidance and blessed prayers in all your endeavours. Frequent him for Mulaqat not only for the love and affection you will receive from him but also for the joy of beholding his blessed countenance.

May Allah so ordain that our Beloved Huzur (atba) is always pleased with Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK and that in our obedience and dedication to Khilafat, individually and collectively, we become an example for Khuddam and Atfal in other parts of the world. Ameen.
