Prayers for Students

My Dear Brothers Khuddam and Atfal,

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.

May the Lord of mankind open unto you the gates of His mercy and may He so ordain that you are always accompanied by the supplication of His angels.

Many of us have previously recognised the arrival of the summer season by its longer days, warmer weather and the heaviness of academic examinations that invariably symbolise this time of year. For many of you, your time will now be occupied by anxious efforts to consolidate all you have learned so that when you are required to demonstrate your knowledge, you do so with excellence.

At this time, you will be concerned not only to remember what you have been taught but also to remember Allah. You pray fervently that He may grant you success and you request prayers of others – family, friends and well-wishers. I also urge you to write to our Beloved Huzur (atba) for prayers and do so on a regular basis.

For my part, I have received many individual requests for prayers from various students across the UK. Regardless of these requests, however, I already consider myself duty bound to remember those Khuddam and Atfal facing impending examinations in humble prayers. Putting your trust in your Lord, many of you have, throughout the course of the academic year, made great sacrifices for Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya UK in the service of Allah. Having given up great swathes of your time for Allah’s sake, it is my prayer that He rewards you for those sacrifices by making the task before you effortless and triumphant.

It is for this reason that I was moved to personally request our Beloved Huzur (atba) last week to keep all our students in his blessed prayers during this exam season. It is for this reason that I followed up that verbal request with a written letter to him in your behalf. It is for this reason that I now humbly request all Khuddam and Atfal to keep in their prayers all our students and also their parents who particularly at this time are tireless and anxious in the support of their children.

It is my prayer that Allah, the All Knowing and All-Powerful, provides you all with such great knowledge and success that you become the most outstanding examples of excellence. In doing so, may you become the delight of your parents’ eyes, the pride of the Jama’at and the Majlis, and recipients of the boundless love of your Beloved Khalifa. Ameen.

Wassalam.

Yours humbly,
Tommy Kallon.
