  Queen Mary AMSA Presents Islam and Terrorism Thursday 26th January 2012 at 6 pm – 8.30 pm Location: Bancroft 1.01.2 Lecture Theater, Francis Bancroft, Mile End, Queen Mary University, E1 4NS (map) Yet another year starts with increased sectarian violence and continued terrorist attacks. It is only natural for the public to assume that within the religion of Islam there must lie some justification for such horror. QMUL AMSA are thus hosting an event to dispel any such thoughts: ‘Islam & Terrorism – Your Questions Answered’ will take place on Thursday 26th January here at QMUL. It will elucidate the true teachings of Islam on the subject of terrorism and apostasy, before answering common allegations against the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom, where tens of thousands of members of the community live peacefully. I would like you to have a look at some the contributions Ahmadi Muslims have been making in promoting community cohesion and peace in this country, which we love to bits.

  The worldwide leader of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, said yesterday: "These attacks took place in mosques, which are places of worship and at the time of the Friday prayers, which all Muslims know is a holy and sacred time. No true Muslims could ever countenance such attacks, such cruelty and such barbaric behaviour. No form of terrorism has any place in Islam and thus those who were behind these attacks may justify their acts in its name, but let it be clear they are Muslim only in name and never in deed. May Allah protect all good natured people from the evil acts of those opposed to peace.”
