MKA Tahir Regional Ijtema 2023

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

By the grace of Allah the Almighty, Tahir Region’s Regional Khuddam Ijtema 2023 was held on Sunday, 19th March in Chessington Community College.

We started Planning for this Ijtema beginning of February 2023. A letter for Dua to Huzur-e-Aqdas (aba) was sent to request special prayers for the overall success and fulfilment of the objectives of the Ijtema.

The Ijtema Committee was formed and members were all informed of their roles before the regular meetings commenced. Our first committee meeting was held on 17th February 2023. A detailed project plan was created and meetings were held weekly, initially to discuss high level responsibilities, followed by detailed departmental plans and the progress of these. We utilised Worcester Park Namaz Centre for such meetings for better collaboration and to aid productivity.

The venue and date was decided and the attendance campaign then kicked off 5 weeks before the Ijtema, with a combination of social media, instant messaging and house visits to help promote the event.

It was decided that due to recent lift of any such COVID and social distancing restrictions, this year the Khuddam Ijtema will be held at full scale Alhamdulillah.

The event started this morning firstly with some members of Ijtema committee offering congregational Fajr prayer in local namaz centres at 5.15am. Following which the committee met directly at Ijtema site to set-up for the event. Ijtema then started at 9am with Registration and Continental breakfast.

Our opening session was chaired by Mobashar Raja Sb (National Motamim Waqar-e-Amal) who welcomed and thanked all khuddam for attending. We also had an opening address delivered by Farukh Arshad sb (Murabi Silsila) who reminded us why we are here, and how important the theme is (Salat – the delight of our eyes).

Following the opening session, the Academics started for Khuddam, covering Tilawat, Nazm, Azan, Prepared Speech and inter-qaidat quiz.

We then offered our Zohr and Asr prayers in congregation followed by Lunch where our ziafat team served a delicious meal of Roast Chicken, Veg Pasta and Kheer.

Khuddam then started their sports competition comprising of Football, Cricket, Table Tennis and Callisthenics. In parallel to sports, we also had available for Khuddam a “Social Hub” which involved series of activities including team games, FIFA challenge and milk shake station.

During our Ijtema we had the honour and privilege to have Sadr MKA UK attending our ijtema, we gave him a full tour of the ijtema.

The Theme for this Year’s Khuddam Year is Salat – The delight of our Eyes and To capture this theme and showcase it on todays’ event, we had on site an exhibition for all our khuddam which involved, quizzes, Virtual Reality Tour of Kaaba, letter to Huzur, As an Imam and much more.

Following all the events being completed, our Concluding session was held and we had the honour to have MKA Naib Sadr Sb with us. He chaired the closing session and delivered the closing address based on theme followed by Prize distribution.

Attendance of Khuddam was 141. Alhamdolillah I would like to thank you all khuddam of our region for attending the Regional Ijtema this year. Without each one of the attendees, this would not have been successful. A sincere Thanks to each and every member of the Ijtema Committee that worked tirelessly to make this event a great success.
