Atfal Charity Walk

The Atfal Annual Charity Challenge took place in Crawley, Noor Mosque, on the 27th of May, 2017 in which 45 Atfal participated and £5463.59 was raised – exceeding our annual target.

On Saturday the 27th of May, 2017, Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya Islamabad Region held a charity walk as part of the National Charity Challenge to raise money for the ‘Classroom Transformation Project’ for the Humanity First. This venue for this event was Noor Mosque in Crawley. By the grace of Allah 45 Atfal participated in the walk and the formal session was attended by about 10 external guests: MPs, church officials and other dignitaries. During the walk the atfal were also joined by Henry Smith MP who served in the last Parliament. After the walk, Atfal were taken for bowling. The total funds raised, inclusive of matched funding and Gift Aid, were £5463.59 – 3 Atfal raised over £500 each and one of them was also the highest fundraiser in the whole of UK with over £700 in charity. A minute of silence was also held in remembrance of the victims of the Manchester attack, and the session concluded with silent prayer.
