
Baitun Noor Regional Ijtema 2024
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the grace of Allah the Almighty, Baitun Noor Regional Khuddam & Atfal Ijtema 2024 took place on Sunday, 5th May at Tahir Hall, Baitul Futuh.
A dedicated Ijtema Committee was established to oversee the planning and execution of the event. Weekly meetings were held to coordinate responsibilities and ensure that all aspects of the Ijtema were meticulously organised and executed seamlessly.
The theme for this year’s Khuddam & Atfal Ijtema was “Muhammad (saw) – The Perfect Preacher,” emphasising the exemplary qualities of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a preacher and messenger of Islam.
In preparation for the regional ijtema, respected Ibrahim Majoka sb was appointed as Nazim-e-ala Ijtema, and thereafter 8 nizamats were set up to oversee the running of the ijtema. Apart from this, letters requesting prayers for the success of the ijtema were sent to Huzoor (aba). In the morning, the ziafat nizamat served a running continental breakfast from 8:30 am.
The opening session commenced at 10 am, which was chaired by Respected Jameel Bhatti sb and motamim TEJ. After the recitation of the Holy Quran, pledge, and nazim, a clip from Huzoor’s (aba) address at the National Khuddamul Ahmadiyya ijtema 2023 was played. Thereafter, respected Jameel Bhatti sb delivered the opening address wherein he exhorted the khuddam about the importance of discharging the obligation of Tabligh and what role they need to play to fulfill this. This session concluded at 10:35 am with a silent prayer led by Muhtamim Sahib.
This was followed by the Academic Competitions for Khuddam that included Tilawat, Nazm, Azaan, English and Urdu Speech, Hifz-e-Qur’an, and Hifz-e-Ad’iya.
Parallel to this, the Atfal were split into 3 groups, 7-9, 10-12, and 13-15, and each group participated in academic and sports competitions with an addition of a tarbiyat talk on a rotation basis.
At 12:15 pm, there was an interactive tabligh session with Nasser Bhatti sb, motamim tabligh, which comprised some khuddam sharing their personal tabligh experiences and also seeking answers to certain questions raised by non-Ahmadis during their tabligh discourses.
We then broke for namaz at 1:30. As we waited for lunch, motamim Atfal held an interactive session with both khuddam and Atfal and shared incidents from the lives and the companions of the Holy Prophet saw which illustrated their love and devotion for their master. Lunch followed, which comprised Chicken and Chips with ice cream for dessert. At 3 pm, Atfal continued with their program while Khuddam began sports competition which included Football, tug of war, 100m race, badminton, pickleball, and strongman. Apart from the academic and sports competition, we had a hub set up along with an SOT exhibition and a VR experience of Makkah.
To wrap up the ijtema, respected Sadr Khuddamul Ahmadiyya was present to coclude the ijtema and also give encouragement to our khuddams and Atfals.
