
Inter-Regional Waqf In Focus event
By the grace of Allah the Almighty on Saturday 14th December 2024, 3 regions Fazl Mosque, Masroor and Baitun Noor were enabled to hold their first inter-regional Waqf in Focus event.
The opening session was chaired by Dr. Anas Rana Sahib (National Secretary Waqf-e-Nau and Naib Sadr MKA). During the opening session a clip was shown from Huzur-e-Anwar’s Friday Sermon dated 28th October 2016 outlining the 21 points of what makes a Waqf-e-Nau special. Thereafter Dr. Anas Rana Sahib delivered an informal opening address highlighting the importance of remembering the 21 points known as the constitution for Waqfeen-e-Nau.
Thereafter 3 presentations were given in relation to experiences of the field.
Hamaad Muin Ahmad Sahib was the first to give an insight into his experience as a medical professional. He spoke about his time as a student in the Czech Republic and how forging a connection with Allah the Almighty granted him content and determination to serve the Jamaat. He also mentioned that in a few months he is travelling to Uganda to assist the local Jama’at their.
The second presentation was delivered by Murrabi Samar Shaikh Sahib on Jamia Ahmadiyya UK. In the presentation he outlined the background of Jamia and the aspirations of the Promised Messiah (as) and the Khulafa regarding the need for scholars in the Jamaat. He further detailed a day in the life of a student at Jamia.
The last talk was given by Khaleeq Bhatti Sahib who is serving in Review of Religions as the social media co-ordinator. He spoke about his journey of serving the Jamaat prior to dedicating his life and then the catalyst that ultimately enabled him to fully dedicate his life at a young age of 23.
In addition to this a special presentation was given by Murrabi Farukh Raheel Sahib regarding the Ismael Magazine, it’s history and background. Waqfeen were also encouraged to also actively contribute towards the magazine.
Before the concluding session at around 6:25pm a breakout session was held where Waqfeen were divided into 3 groups (15-17, 18-19 20+).
At 6:55pm Respected Luqman Kishwar Sahib (In-Charge Central Waqf-e-Nau Office) chaired the concluding session. After Tilawat and the Khuddam pledge, a brief report was presented of the event. Thereafter Luqman Kishwar Sahib addressed the attendees and spoke about the effectiveness of the parent’s morally and spiritually training their children and further making them a beneficial asset for the Jamaat. The event was concluded with a silent prayer followed by a group photo.
