Humanity First & MKA UK Ghana expedition

Today on the 14th of April 2018, MAA (Majlis Atfaul Ahmadiyya) UK held Mercy4Mankind CC walks in 9 locations from Tilford to Leicester and from Walsall to Morden. Alhamdolillah with some nice weather, some good press coverage and efforts made by atfal national and local teams the effort so far has yielded roughly £25,000. However this figure is being finalised and will inshAllah be match funded by the generosity of companies in the UK, thus totalling £50,000 and allowing MKA to help build 5 schools for children in Africa for Humanity First’s ‘Classroom Transformation Project’. This alhamdolillah is a sterling effort made by young atfal across the country with some atfal raising £1500.

Press Release :

Farooq Aftab, event organiser and Deputy Head of AMYA said:

“We try to instil values of charity, gratefulness and care for others into the children from a very young age. Over 500 children here in the UK will be taking time out of their holidays to raise funds for children in Africa. The charity challenge is named ‘Mercy for Mankind’ as that is the title that was given to the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) who taught that it is necessary for every person, male and female to get an education, so these children are looking to help those who do not have the opportunities they have. The children are very much looking forward to get together, make new friendships and make a difference to hundreds of children’s lives in deprived areas of Africa.”
