MKA Tolworth Ijtema 2023
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Tolworth Ijtema 21 January 2023 – Report is as follows:
By the grace of Allah, the Almighty, Majlis Tolworth, hosted its successful Khuddam & Atfal Ijtema on Saturday, 21st January 2023 in Danetree Primary School, Epsom.
The event started with set up, registration and breakfast around 9 am. The official inauguration of the event was led by Regional Qaid of Tahir Region, Haseeb Cheema Sahib alongside our respected Local Sadr Jamaat Sohail Ahmad Choudhry Sahib around 10:15 am. The opening ceremony started with reciting a portion from the Holy Quran with English translation by Hafiz Haris Butt Sahib, followed by Khuddam Pledge read by Regional Qaid Sahib, Nazam by Kashif Arif Sahib, brief welcome note by Qaid Majlis Tolworth and finally with an opening address by Regional Qaid Sahib. In his opening address, Regional Qaid Sahib, narrated an inspiring story about the significance of Salat in line with this year’s theme of Ijtema – Salat – The Delight of our eyes. After Regional Qaid Sahib’s opening address, our Local Sadr Jamaat Sohail Ahmad Choudhry Sahib led us all to silent prayers.
Following the opening session, we went into the programme and the following competitions for Khuddam and Atfal were held:
- Academics, which included: Tilawat, Nazm, Adhan, prepared & extempore speech.
- Sports, which included: Football, basketball and wall squat challenge just to name a few
- Interactive Taleem quiz on the topic of Salaat
We were very fortunate, that our respected National Sadr Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya UK Abdul Quddoos Arif Sahib paid a visit to our Ijtema and addressed our Khuddam & Atfal brothers. He invited a few Khuddam & Atfal to share their prepared speeches on the topic of Salaat. He highlighted the significance of Salaat. He further explained, how Salaat can bring us closer to Allah, the Almighty and how it can prevent us to do evil acts. Towards the end of his visit, Sadr Sahib invited attendees to ask questions and we had the opportunities to have a group photo with him.
At around 13:30, we offered Zohr & Asr Namaz, followed by a brief Talqeen-e-Amal Session on the topic of Salat by our Regional Nazim Taleem Bilal Dar Sahib.
We then proceeded to the dining area, we served a delicious lunch meal to our Khuddam, Atfal and guests. The menu included: Bryani with Raita for Khuddam and Pizza for Atfal. The dessert included Kheer.
In the afternoon, we continued with the remaining competitions, followed by an interactive Taleem Quiz on Kahoot! On the topic of Salaat. Everyone with their mobile phone were invited to participate. A separate quiz was held for Atfal.
Prior to the concluding session, we showed our attendees, a short presentation slide show on the activities and events of Majlis Tolworth in 2022.
The closing session was chaired by our Regional Motamid Kamil Zahid Sahib which commenced around 16:15. The closing session started with Tilawat by Hafiz Haris Butt Sahib – First Prize Winner in Tilawat, followed by Khuddam Pledge by Zahid Sahib, Nazam by Kashif Arif Sahib – First Prize Winner in Nazam. Following Nazam, Qaid Majlis of Tolworth, presented a brief Ijtema report followed by Prize Distribution. Prizes were handed out by Kamil Zahid Sahib to the competition winners. Special prizes were given to those Khuddam who went above and beyond in offering their service to Majlis Tolworth. The names included: Sadeed Ahmad, Sadid Ahmad Khan, Abdul Samad Sar, Ayaz Nawaz, Fateh Khan, Waqas Sandhu, Ata Chouhdry, Tuheed Dar and Labeeb Dar.
Following the prize distribution, Kamil Zahid Sahib, then delivered his closing speech on the topic of Salaat and wished all participants Ijtema Mubarak and led us to silent prayer.
The total participation of this year’s Ijtema was: 42 attendees of which 22 were Khuddam, 6 Atfal, 1 under 7 years’ and 13 Guests.
Finally, I would like to thank all Khuddam, Atfal, children, parents and guests who took part in this event. I would like to thank our Regional Qaid Sahib and the whole Regional Amila Members, who have supported us with the arrangements. I would like to thank our Local Ijtema Committee and Amila Members who have helped us organising this event. I would like to thank the judges: Harris Malik Sahib, Muhammad Arif Sahib, Bezhad Khan Sahib, Bilal Dar Sahib, and Ata Choudhry Sahib for judging the competitions. I would like to thank the Ziafat team who have cooked a delicious meal for us.
At the end I would like to wish each one of you a heartfelt Ijtema Mubarak. May Allah enable us to continue to serve the Majlis under the guidance of our beloved Huzoor e Aqdas (May Allah strengthen His hands). Ameen
