Morden Park – Local Ijtema 2025
Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah, Morden Park Jamaat held their annual local Ijtema on Saturday 19th January 2025 at Baitul Ehsan Mosque.
We started the day at 9AM with registration. Simultaneously, breakfast was served to all attendees.
At 10AM, our local President Mubasahr Atique Ahmad sb chaired the opening session, which started with Tilawat & Translation, Pledge, and Nazm. In the opening speech, Regional Qaid sahib, Sajeel Masood Sb spoke about this year’s Ijtema theme, which has graciously been approved by beloved Huzoor (aba). The session ended with silent prayer.
We set up a ‘Write a Letter to Huzoor’ booth, where both Atfal and Khuddam had the opportunity to write letters to Beloved Huzoor (aba). For the first time, we also introduced a calligraphy poster activity, which was featured in the exhibition alongside other displays related to the theme.
Following this, Khuddam participated in their indoor sports activities, which included football, darts, penalty shootout, snooker, and table tennis, while Atfal stayed upstairs for their academic competitions, featuring Tilawat, Nazm, Adhaan, and English speech.
This led to a short presentation by Abdul Waseh sb about the theme of the Ijtema, “Holy Quran – Casket of Jewels,” which highlighted the proofs of the Holy Quran, its prophecies, and how it has led to many scientific discoveries that were already stated in the Holy Quran.
Zuhr and Asr prayers were offered at 1:30PM, followed by lunch.
After lunch, the activities were switched: Atfal engaged in their indoor sports session, including table tennis, penalty shootout, darts, and foosball, while Khuddam took part in their academic competitions, which included Tilawat, Nazm, Adhaan, and Prepared Speech.
The concluding session commenced afterwards, chaired by Mohtamim Maal, Tauseef Ahmad Sahib, who delivered an insightful speech on the theme of this year’s Ijtema, emphasizing its relevance and significance. This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing the outstanding efforts of participants. A special video presentation, created by the Qiadat, beautifully captured the highlights, memorable moments, and key activities of the day. The session concluded with a heartfelt silent prayer, after which attendees proceeded to the mosque for Maghrib Namaz, ending the event on a spiritually uplifting note.
Alhamdulillah, in total, over 76% of Khuddam and Atfal attended this local Ijtema, making it a memorable and faith-strengthening gathering.
