On Saturday 20th June, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya South West Region held a fundraising dinner for DEBRA; a charity that supports individuals affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)– a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, can be fatal. 70 guests attended including, Naib Sadran Saif Ullah Saleem Sb and Mobushar Raja Sb, Mohtamim KeK Nadeem Ahmad Sb, and Regional Missionary Usman Manan Sb.

The event included a section on the inauguration of a Humanity First primary school, Iqbal Domun school, in the Ivory Coast, named after a dear Khadim of the region, who died of complications of EB in 2022.

At the end of the dinner, a charity auction was held, raising around £2000 in itself for DEBRA.
Prior to the event, a 25KM walk, Walk4Bal took place on 25th May where MKA SW walked alongside staff from Cardinal Newman School, where Iqbal sb used to work.

By the Grace of Allah, the Almighty, the Majlis, so far, has raised £8000 with efforts continuing to raise more.
